Half Bayonne ham PGI 18 months of maturation
Composition : Pork leg, Salies-de-Béarn salt, sugar, preservative : salpeter.
These pigs are raised traditionally: no GMO, no animal meal, no fish oil, no other waste. Food comes down to grains, soy, sunflower, salt and minerals. The Bayonne raw ham 18 months of ripening, it is also the guarantee of a breeding respectful of the European environmental standards, and the animal welfare thanks to herds limited in numbers.
This half ham comes from “Manex” pigs locally farmed in the Basque Country. These pigs have been farmed for a minimum of 9 months, until they weigh about 180kgs. The ham is then dried and matured for a minimum of 18 months after which it weighs between 8 and 9kgs.
Maturation: 18 months minimum.
